Here at The Mending Shed, we know how hard it is to get information from manufacturers about parts. This is because most manufacturers don't have the time or resources to develop relationships with their consumers. But never fear - with 38 years under our belt, we've made the relationship for you. There's not much, when it comes to parts, that we can't get our hands on. But if we can't get it, we'll tell you where you can find it. As always, we are more than happy to share our knowledge and wisdom of parts with you.

Major Appliances

Major Appliance parts make up the majority of our inventory. From Admiral to Whirlpool we have thousands of parts just waiting to go. So you think your part's not important enough? You would be surprised. There's no such thing as too small of part when it comes to major appliances. That's why we've done our homework and keep every common, and some not so common, part we come across.

Our vast library of resources has been 38 years in the making and it only gets bigger and better. We have parts dating back to the 70's and 80's which means that your appliance may not be obsolete just yet. And with the aid of computers, we know exactly where it is in our inventory.

Brand Name and Model Number is a MUST HAVE when dealing with major appliance parts. If you are having trouble finding this, we can give you suggestions for where to look. Or bring in the part you are looking for and we can try to match it up.

In-Stock Parts
Switches, gaskets and belts, oh my! Ovens, dishwashers, dryers... we could go on. You name it, we have something for it. From original parts direct from the manufacturer, to the after market. We can find, and in most cases have, what you need.

Non-Stock Parts or NLA (No Longer Available)
Sometimes there isn't enough of a demand for a part. Or no demand at all. And it's not reasonable for us to keep it on hand. In these cases, we can special order the part for you. Of course, with the change of technology and the evolution of manufacturers, some parts and sometimes the whole appliance's production is terminated. Otherwise known as NLA (No Longer Available).

We have such a huge inventory, that sometimes NLA products can be found in the shop. Or, manufacturers and distributors will see a necessity for a discontinued item and pick up the reproduction. These substitutes will normally work in the same fashion and will produce the same result.

Special Orders
Now, depending on where the part is coming from will determine how long the wait is. If the part is readily available from our distributors, it will only take 2-3 days. If we must order the part direct from the manufacturer (this would include body pieces), it may take up to 3 weeks. All special orders require payment in advance and there are no returns or refunds once the part is on order.

Power Tools

Supported Brands: Black & Decker, Bosch, Delta, DeWalt, Emglo, Hitachi, Makita, Milwaukee, Porter Cable, Senco, Skil, Stanley-Bostitch.

We are currently an Authorized Service Center for Black & Decker, DeWalt, Stanley-Bostitch and Senco. But that doesn't limit us in serving you. Above, you will find all of the brands of tools that we can supply parts for. You'll just need to know the brand, model number, and part that you are looking for.

In-Stock Parts
With so many power tools out on the market today, it's almost impossible to keep every part of every tool on hand. But we certainly try. Power Tools has become the second largest part of our store-wide inventory, second only to Major Appliances. We have most every common replacement part for our supported brands in stock. And with information coming direct from the manufacturers, there's nothing we can't find or get our hands on.

Power Wheels

As an Authorized Service Center for Power Wheels, there's nothing we can't find for any motorized vehicle under that name. We have skilled and experienced Power Wheels technicians standing by to find any part that you need.

In-Stock Parts
As the only local service center for Power Wheels, we try our best to keep up with the demand for parts. Common and wearable parts such as batteries, chargers, tires, mechanical and electrical parts, are always on hand. As well as many other smaller items. Large parts such as body materials, however, are not kept as stock items. There are some parts that Power Wheels will not allow a service center to sell to the public. These include motor gearboxes and wiring harnesses.

We have a growing inventory, and sometimes NLA products can be found in the shop. With Power Wheels, it is possible that some items from one vehicle will fit another. This does not provide an exact match, but a lot of times will produce the desired result.

Special Order parts for Power Wheels come directly from Power Wheels. On average, Power Wheels parts on special order will arrive within 2 weeks time. All special orders require payment in advance and there are no returns or refunds once the part is on order.

Personal Care

Supported Brands: Braun, Norelco, Remington(accessory parts), Wahl, Waterpik.

As an Authorized Service Center for Braun and Norelco, we carry a very large assortment of parts for personal care appliances. And if we don't have it, we'll tell you where to find it or how we can get it for you. If you are unsure of what you need, please call or stop in to find out what we have that can help you. One thing to keep in mind, when looking for parts, always have the brand name and model number of your personal care product handy. You wouldn't believe how much it helps.

When it comes to personal care, our main focus is electric appliances made by our supported brands. Products like electric shavers, hair clippers and trimmers, and WaterPik oral irrigators. Replacement parts, such as foils/screens & blade/cutter units, are easily accessible at the counter.

Clocks / Lamps

Clocks -- Wind-up, Cuckoo, small alarm, grandfather clocks. (NO watches or electric clocks.)
Lamps -- Floor lamps, desk lamps, table lamps. (NO neon or flourescent lamps.)

Whether your microwave has taken a turn for the worse, or your mixer has seen better days, we are ready and able to help. Just tell us the part you need and we'll go to work. Bringing in your old part for comparison never hurts and always helps. Our main focus in small appliances are microwaves and KitchenAid appliances. Please make sure that you also have your Brand Name and Model Number ready to go.

Have you looked everywhere for that part? Do you swear no one has it? From the common to the obscure, we'll find a solution for you. With years of experience, there's not a whole lot we can't do with vacuums. We know the ins, the outs, the taboos and the absolutes. When looking for parts remember that nothing is more valuable than the brand name and model number of your vacuum.

We maintain a comprehensive inventory of vacuum parts. From bags, belts, filters, fans, attachments and more. We are able to find out the status of any part you need for any of our supported brands. Your most common parts (i.e., bags, belts) are readily available in our showroom.
