Purchases made in haste or without an understanding of how a product is designed to work often ends in disappointment. We encourage you to shop and compare prices before you purchase to get the product that is right for you. If you find you must return any parts or products, please find our rules of returns listed below.

Unreturnable Parts
Any item not accompanied with the original sales receipt and are not returned with 30 days will not be accepted. Damaged items and parts that have been installed are not returnable. Switches and other electrical parts that are easily damaged will not be accepted.
I purchased a part but it did not fix the problem.
If the part has been installed you cannot return it.
I special ordered a part and it was the wrong part.
We know mistakes are made. If the mistake was made by us or the factory, we will take responsibility and it will be corrected at no cost to you. If the mistake was yours, then the responsibility is yours.
I don't need this part.
If you have your receipt and it has been less than 30 days, the packaging is unopened and undamaged and it is not on the unreturnable list above, you can bring it back for a full refund.*
I don't need this part and I have damaged the packaging.
If the part is uninstalled and in factory fresh condition and all the above mentioned criteria has been met, you can return it for a partial refund. There will be a restocking fee of no less than 15%.
The part failed after a short period of time.
Major appliance parts have a 1 year warranty and can be replaced by filling out a warranty claim form. We will need the model# and ser# from your machine for this form. Other parts have varying warranties depending on the manufacturer. Fragile parts like switches and other electrical and electronic parts have no warranty when installed by the customer. To claim whatever warranty is due to you, the original receipt is required. All failed parts must be returned for inspection.
*Any refunds will be made in the same form as the original payment.

Items not returnable
Items that are not accompanied with the original sales receipt and are not returned within 30 days will not be accepted. Clearance items are not returnable. Personal care products & accessories that have been opened will not be accepted. Special Order items will not be accepted as returns.
The product was damaged or defective when I opened it.
No problem. Bring it back and we will replace it. If we cannot replace it we will refund* your money or instruct you on how to cure the problem directly with the manufacturer.
I've changed my mind and I don't want it.
To avoid a restocking charge, don't open the product. If it is unopened and not tampered with, we are happy to refund* your money. Packaging must be in factory fresh condition.
I've opened and tampered with it, now I don't want it.
There will be a restocking fee. Restocking charges will vary depending on the condition of the item and it's packaging.
I have used it but now I don't want it.
Products that are used are not returnable unless they carry a "Satisfaction Guarantee" by us or the manufacturer.
The product broke shortly after I got it.
All the products we sell have a manufacturers warranty and will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's discretion. We perform that warranty service for most of the manufacturers and their products that we sell.
*Any refunds will be made in the same form as the original payment.

What is a "Special Order"?
Products or parts that are not in our normal inventory may be ordered, if you are willing to pay for them in advance and wait for shipment. That is what we call a "Special Order". The reason these items have to be paid for in advance is to assure that you want them. It is difficult to return "Special Order" items, so be sure you really want them.
Return of "Special Orders"
You may return a "Special Order" item only if our distributor will allow us to return it to them. There is always a 20% restocking fee plus the cost of shipping to return it to the distributor.
"Special Orders" that are not returnable
- Products that have been used.
- Parts that have been installed.
- Items with damaged packaging or otherwise show a lack of integrity.
- Items that are not in "New" condition.
- Electrical parts are never returnable!
- All items must be accompanied with a receipt and the date on that receipt can be no older than 30 days. Sooner is even better.
Statements like... "I don't need it anymore" or "It doesn't work the way I thought it would" or "It didn't fix the problem" are not sufficient reasons to return "Special Orders".
All products and appliances have a warranty unless otherwise stated. That warranty assures you of having a product or part that works as the manufacturer intended. It is not a "satisfaction guarantee" or a warranty against bad judgment. It is your responsibility to be sure of what you need before you order.

Our privacy policy is simple. We will NEVER release any of your information. We never send out unsolicited e-mail, bulk mailings, telemarketing or any other annoying ways of advertising. We will never contact you unless it is in response to questions, orders or services that are initiated by you. However, we do retain a database of customer information and order history. This information is only used by us, The Mending Shed, for reference in customer service.
